Ballast resistors are required in some instances after fitting LED Indicators to fix hyper flash, on modern cars with canbus systems to solve flicker or bulb out warnings or on classics to resolve issues with your wiring causing sympathy flash where all the indicators flash irrespective of you selecting left or right turn.
If you suffer from any of the above problems, simply add these to each side of your indicator circuit or to the respective LED to solve the problem.
For many cars, they can be used where you have added LED indicators but do not want to or are not able to change your original thermal Flasher Relay as the Ballasts replicate the load of incandescent bulbs meaning your indicators will flash at the same rate.
These are high quality 50 Watt 6 Ohm Ballast resistors with a pair of scotch locks for each resistor also provided to aid easy fitting. These units convert excess voltage to heat which then dissipates through the metal casing. Please note that these can therefore get very hot and should be mounted where they will not cause any risk due to the heat emissions. The price is for one resistor and 2 scotch locks.
