Looking to improve your flasher relay performance or are you considering or have you added LED indicator bulbs?
These electronic relays will keep your flash rate constant and keep it standard even if the load on the circuit changes. Standard relays will not flash at the correct rate with LED bulbs.
Suitable for many other classic or modern 12v cars or applications with standard filament / incandescent bulbs or LEDs or a mix of filament / incandescent bulbs and LED.
Compatible with most cars and bikes and suitable for indicators or hazards- not many electronic flashers have the OE clicking sound - these do. Includes rubber mounting bracket.
Suitable replacement for 3 pin flasher relays with 49 (X), 49a (L) and P Connectors. You will need to also connect the earth connection wire. Also available with Positive Earth, please select the required option from the drop down menu. Metal mounting clips are available for these too. Please see part number RelayClip.
Connections:
X = Live In (49)
L = Load (to indicator switch) (49a)
P = Pilot / Dash Indicator Warning (optional - not required for 2 pin configuration)
Black Lead - must be connected to a good earth

IF THE RELAY DOES NOT BEHAVE WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING YOU NEED TO ADD SUPPRESSION TO THE LEAD BETWEEN YOUR COIL AND DISTRIBUTOR TO REDUCE THE RF INTERFERENCE.

I bought this relay to replace the one in my 1979 Fiat 124 Spider. It was a case of just pulling out the old one and inserting the new one, just plug and play. The blink rate went from being ridiculously quick with the old relay to normal, and I was able to swap out the old incandescent bulbs for LEDs with no issues

We have a 1938 Dennis Ace fire engine which doesn’t have indicators. For safety’s sake we decided to fit some. Due to the vehicle being positive earth the conventional flasher units wouldn’t light up the pilot light on the indicator arm. This one does and its enabled us to fit the indicators without any further problems. A brilliant product from a brilliant company.
This was perfect. I swapped it straight out with the old one and it works a treat. I can also recommend the 12v negative earth break and indicator lights, they are so bright and work great.
